Scalloped Edge Tablecloth Shorts
Made from a 1920’s cutwork embroidered tablecloth and 1950’s blue & white striped fabric, with vintage linen button fastenings. Inspired by vintage tap shorts and men’s boxers, combining the feminine and masculine elements to sit outside the gender binary. The front panels wrap around to button at the back of the waistband, with the side-seams left open for ease of wear and to show off your legs (this makes them great for dancing in).
Care Guidance
To ensure you care for your garment please wash by hand with cold – lukewarm water and a gentle detergent. Do not wring the garment when wet, and let it dry on the line or laid flat. Iron on a low-medium heat with lots of steam. Linen creases easily, so hanging this garment with a clip coat-hanger will help to keep it crease free.
Sizing
Ready to wear pair = 30.5" midrise (just below belly button) or can be worn higher on the waist at 30.5", depending on your desired fit. There are 3 buttons on each side, so these shorts can also fit up to 36.5" if you are happy to only have it on the last button (please note this means there will be less of an overlap at the side seams so more leg will be on show). The length from waistband to hem is 19".
